Miguel Fernandes has a wealth of experience in the tech industry. In 2006, they founded Dengun, growing the company from 0 to 70 team members with over 600 clients. In 2013, they founded ActivBookings, a booking management platform for recreational tourism activities, and HDS, a web agency providing web solutions, digital marketing services and successful campaigns. In 2018, they became President of Algarve Evolution, a non-profit association of tech companies that aims to promote and encourage the technological growth of the region. Most recently, in 2022, they took on the role of Global Class City Lead in Algarve, Portugal, where they support spreading the message of Global Class through local programs and events. Additionally, they have held the position of President of the Núcleo de Electrónica e Informática da Universidade do Algarve since 2007.

Miguel Fernandes attended Escola Portuguesa de Macau from 1999 to 2001, where they earned a High School degree. Miguel then attended Universidade do Algarve from 2003 to 2007, studying Computer Science.
