Deja Shabazz

Sr. Manager, Customer Operations at Actionstep

Deja Shabazz has worked for three companies in the past, beginning in 2016 with the Virginia State Police. There, they held two roles: HR Program Support Technician and Classification & Compensation Program Support Technician. In 2017, Deja joined Actionstep as Sr. Manager, Technical Support. Deja then became Richmond Office Manager | US/UK Support Manager, and Support Lead, North America, as well as Application Specialist. Finally, in 2019, Deja joined GiSTEM, Inc. as Board Member | Secretary | Head of Technology. In their roles, Deja has coached, mentored and developed customer support teams, responded to customer escalations, monitored and reported on key customer support metrics, investigated and resolved issues related to the system, monitored public response to the work and policies of the organization, and created advertisements/job descriptions for new jobs.

Deja Shabazz obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Virginia Union University between 2010 and 2014. Deja also has a certification in Leading a Customer Service Team from LinkedIn, which they obtained in April 2022.
