Alan Mitchell has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Alan currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Actica Consulting. Prior to this, they were the Finance Director for the Building Engineering Services Business Group at HDR | Hurley Palmer Flatt Group.

From 2017 to 2021, Alan Mitchell worked as the Group CFO at HURLEYPALMERFLATT GROUP LIMITED, overseeing various companies within the group. Before that, they were the Finance Director at Dods Group PLC and Cambridge University Press.

Alan Mitchell also held Finance Director positions at Walker Books Ltd and Pavilion Books Ltd. Alan started their career as a Change Manager at Chrysalis plc and later became the Head of Reporting and Planning. Additionally, they worked as a Risk Management Analyst at Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Financial Controller at Trinity Mirror Group PLC.

Alan Mitchell received their BA Hons 2:1 degree in Economics, Politics, and North American Studies from the University of Leeds and Toronto between 1989 and 1993.
