James Teng is a Software Engineer at Acorns, part of the Data Engineering Team since June 2022. Prior to this role, James worked as a Software Development Engineer in the Test Process Engineering Team at Western Digital from February 2021 to May 2022. James also gained experience as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020, where responsibilities included designing, implementing, and load testing features related to JSON/XML payloads. Additionally, James mentored middle school students in mobile application development through the AppJam+ program at Dreams for Schools in 2019 and served as a Teaching Assistant for the UCI Writing Project in the summer of 2019. James Teng holds a Bachelor's degree in Information and Computer Science from UC Irvine, completed in 2020, and attended Cupertino High School from 2013 to 2017, as well as participating in an educational program at Carnegie Mellon University in 2016.
