Karl Hughes is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in cloud engineering and DevOps. Currently serving as Head of Cloud Engineering at Acorn Insurance and Financial Services Limited since October 2019, Karl has successfully transformed legacy deployment models into a scalable, agile cloud-native ecosystem, while building and leading a high-performing Cloud Engineering team. Prior experience includes roles as Lead DevOps Engineer at both Magellan Robotech and Acorn Insurance, where Karl was instrumental in implementing CI/CD pipelines and managing production deployments. Karl began a professional journey in IT support and administration at Stanley International Betting and has a Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security from Liverpool John Moores University.
