Tyler Derr is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Vanderbilt University since August 2020, where Tyler also serves as the Director of the Network and Data Science Lab. In summer 2023, Tyler participated in the Visiting Faculty Research Program at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Prior experience includes a research internship at HRL Laboratories, LLC from May 2019 to July 2020, focusing on the Center For Computational Network Intelligence, and serving as a Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant at Michigan State University from August 2015 to July 2020, under the guidance of Dr. Jiliang Tang. Tyler holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Michigan State University, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Penn State University, and a dual Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Penn State University.
