Yao Wang is a co-founder of ICTUS Audio, which specializes in spatial audio solutions for immersive experiences in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). Since February 2018, Yao has also served as the Audio Director for the ACM SIGGRAPH conference, overseeing the design of in-VR spatial audio and ambisonic environments. Yao has a background in music education, functioning as a Teacher Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and formerly as a Special Assistant at the Berklee College of Music. Previous roles include Vice President of the Women's Film Initiative and an intern at Ryan Shore Music, where Yao gained experience in audio editing and music organization. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Film Scoring and Electronic Production & Design from Berklee College of Music, alongside coursework in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations at Concordia University and a Professional Song and Music Technique Program at Vanier College.
