Courtney Starrett is a distinguished academic and industry professional currently serving as the Director on the Executive Committee of ACM SIGGRAPH since February 2018. At ACM SIGGRAPH, notable roles include Emerging Technologies Chair for SIGGRAPH 2019 and Labs Chair for SIGGRAPH 2023. Since August 2019, Courtney has been the Graduate Program Director for the MS and MFA in Visualization at Texas A&M University and also holds the position of Associate Professor. Previous academic appointments include Assistant Professor at Seton Hall University and Associate Professor at Winthrop University. Additionally, Courtney has experience as a Co-Owner and Designer at Plural Studios since April 2011 and has held a visiting lecturer position at SUNY New Paltz. Educational qualifications include an MFA from Temple University and a BFA from The University of Kansas, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Design: Metals and Jewelry from the same institution.
