Ryan MendÃas is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Staff Attorney for the Reproductive Freedom Project at the ACLU since July 2022. Previously, Ryan held positions as a Law Clerk at the New York Court of Appeals from August 2020 to July 2022 and as a Legal Fellow with the Reproductive Freedom Project at the ACLU from August 2019 to August 2020. Early legal experience includes roles as a Student Advocate at the Immigrant Rights Clinic and multiple summer legal internships at Brooklyn Defender Services and The Bronx Defenders. Prior to these roles, Ryan worked as a Paralegal for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and served as a Woodbridge Fellow at Yale University. Ryan holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies from Yale University.
