Lauren Weiner is the Director of Strategic Communications at the ACLU, a role held since December 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing communication strategies on criminal justice reform, racial justice, LGBTQ rights, and abortion rights, among others. Lauren has extensive experience in political communications, previously serving as a Political Communications Manager with 92NY Women inPower, and participating in the Future Leaders Experience with the Page Society. Prior roles also encompass Principal at Precision Strategies, where client management and crisis communications were key functions, and Rapid Response Director for Wendy Davis's gubernatorial campaign. Lauren's foundational role in the Democratic National Committee as Regional Press Secretary and various positions in communications contribute to a robust background in strategic messaging and public engagement. Educational credentials include a graduate degree from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in Political Science and Communication Studies.
