Margaret Grapperhaus is a Principal Scientist at Aclaris Therapeutics, Inc. since January 2022, with extensive experience in synthetic chemistry and drug development. Previously, Grapperhaus held the position of Senior Principal Synthetic Scientist at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals from January 2011 to January 2022, focusing on the synthesis and purification of small molecules and peptides, along with analytical method development. Grapperhaus also has a background as a Senior Scientist at Pfizer, where significant contributions were made in medicinal chemistry targeting inflammation and cancer, and as a Research Chemist at Monsanto/Pharmacia Corp., identifying novel drug candidates. Earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Medical Research Technician at Washington University and Graduate Research Fellow at Southern Illinois University.
