Ruth Phiri has cultivated extensive experience in the fashion and retail industry, currently serving as a Senior Buyer at Ackermans since May 2022. Prior to this role, Ruth held a similar position at The Foschini Group from August 2018 to May 2023 and worked as a Junior Buyer at Truworths between April 2016 and October 2017. Ruth began their career in fashion as a Program Assistant at African Fashion International in early 2016 and has also worked as a New Client Liaison at Isabella Garcia International, where responsibilities included client communication and data management. Previous roles include Sales Assistant positions at Nicci Boutique, providing customer service and merchandising support, and as a Fashion Show Coordinator at Dalore Events, overseeing event logistics and management. Ruth earned a Bachelor of Consumer Science in Clothing Retail Management from the University of Pretoria in 2014.
