Fan Zhao has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. In 2017, they worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst for a financial business consultant. In 2018, they were a Python Course Content Developer at WeCode. They then joined the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services as a Software Engineer in 2019, and worked there until August 2019. In 2021, they returned to the ministry in the same role but only stayed until April 2021. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Achievers since January 2022.

Fan Zhao attended the University of Waterloo from 2015 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computational Mathematics and Statistics.
