Nele Mertens has extensive experience in legal expertise and social security, currently serving as Juriste - Domeinverantwoordelijke and Team- en projectleider Sociale Verkiezingen 2024 at Acerta since May 2013. Responsibilities include oversight of public sector issues, annual vacation policies, wage garnishments and protections, employment measures, and training in social legislation. Prior roles include Referendaris in multiple Arbeidsrechtbanken, focusing on collective debt settlement, and Stafmedewerker - Jurist at RVA Hoofdbestuur, where Nele worked on the regulation of service vouchers. Nele Mertens holds a Master’s degree in Law from KU Leuven and has participated in an Erasmus Exchange program at the University of Bristol.
