Professor David Hui Kang Ma, MD, PHD is an ophthalmologist trained at the Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine, College of Medicine, Chang-Gung University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California. He served as Director of the Limbal Stem Cell laboratory in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou, Taiwan and is now Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology. His research interests include limbal stem cells, amniotic grafts and ocular inflammatory responses. His research in these areas has been published widely in both national and international medical journals. He is a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), the International Ocular Surface Society and the Asia Cornea Society.
