Thomas DeMaggio is the current Vice President at ACDS. Prior to their current role, DeMaggio served as the Head of Global Procurement & Real Estate for Americas at American Express from January 2008 to March 2011. In this role, they were responsible for transforming the procurement team and increasing the focus on business engagement and proactive partnership in spend strategy and compliance. This included spearheading all aspects of facilities management for the America’s portfolio, while leading the building of new facilities in Mexico City and Phoenix.
DeMaggio has also served as the Operational Risk & Transformation Lead for American Express International from January 2005 to January 2008, and as the CFO Global Staff Groups & Head of the Planning Shared Service Center from January 2001 to December 2005. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing the operational risk for American Express International and developing/implementing a Strategic Sourcing Think Tank to leverage best practices, industry expertise and a new innovation lab.
DeMaggio began their career at American Express in 1998 as the Head of Planning & Analysis for Global Technology. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the planning and analysis for global technology initiatives.
Throughout their career, DeMaggio has been recognized for their accomplishments in operational risk management and transformation. Thomas has successfully developed and implemented multiple strategic sourcing initiatives that have had a positive impact on the bottom line for American Express.
Thomas DeMaggio has an MBA in Finance from Fordham Gabelli School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Dowling College.
