Jeffery Lewis has over 25 years of experience in software engineering.
From 2014 to present, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Accuray, where they developed a radiation oncology planning workstation. Jeffery was responsible for building the software using C++, Boost, OpenGL, CUDA, and MFC technologies. Additionally, they designed and developed a cross-platform visualization library using C++, VTK, Qt, and CMake.
Prior to that, from 2003 to 2014, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer for Synapse PACS at FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. In this role, they provided requirements acquisition and design consulting for a PACS application rewrite project. Jeffery also served as the team lead for the web component framework, utilizing JavaScript, C#, C++, jQuery, and other technologies.
During their time from 1999 to 2003 at Integrated Surgical Systems, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer. Jeffery led the architecture and development of an orthopedic surgical planning application and library using C++, OpenGL, and X Window System. Jeffery'swork included requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing, resulting in improved planning capabilities and visualization.
From 1997 to 1999, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Electronic Data Systems Corporation. There, they developed a web eligibility application and an imaging database for an electronic document management system using various technologies such as Visual C++, COM, ADO, SQL Server, and ASP.
At HealthCare Information Services, they worked as a Software Developer in 1996, focusing on cross-platform multimedia CD-ROM products. Jeffery made significant contributions to MEDLINE products and a textbook viewing product, as well as creating installation programs using InstallShield.
Jeffery Lewis has a Master's degree in Computer Science from California State University-Sacramento. Jeffery also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university. In addition to their degrees, they are a Certified UML Professional, which they obtained from the OMG institution in 2006.
