Dylan Casey has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Dylan started their career at Michigan State University as a Post Doc in Experimental High Energy Physics, where they designed and implemented software frameworks and developed algorithms for high-speed data selection.
Dylan then worked as a Research Associate at CTC & Associates LLC, providing technical communications and program consulting for transportation professionals.
After that, Dylan joined St. John's College as a Tutor, where they facilitated and guided learning through an all-required curriculum in philosophy, history, science, and mathematics.
In 2011, they took on the role of a Podcaster at The Partially Examined Life, a philosophy podcast where they engaged in discussions about various texts with a mix of insight and flippancy.
Dylan's career then led him to Accuray, a medical device company. Dylan had several roles within the company, starting as a Technical Instructor, where they taught training courses for Field Service Engineers on the TomoTherapy radiation therapy machine. Dylan then transitioned into a Research Physicist in the Research Group, focusing on the development of patient treatment assessment algorithms. Subsequently, they became a Research Physics Manager, R&D Physics Manager, Senior Manager of R&D Physics and AMS Physics Customer Support, and finally, the Director of Medical Physics and Systems Analysis, where they led the R&D Physics group and Physics Customer Support for the Americas region.

Dylan Casey has an extensive education history. Dylan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Philosophy and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Michigan State University from 1986 to 1991. Dylan then pursued further studies at the University of Rochester, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Physics from 1991 to 1993. Dylan continued their academic journey at the University of Rochester, graduating with a PhD in Experimental Particle Physics from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, Dylan Casey obtained a certification in Duolingo French Fluency, achieving an advanced level in September 2015.
