Niels Hamel is a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer at Accsys, where responsibilities include daily operational support for control systems and managing expansion and process improvement projects for the Arnhem facility since May 2021. Previously, Niels held roles at Shell as a Process Control Technologist and Functional Safety Engineer, as well as at Magion as a Principal Control Systems & Process Control Engineer, contributing to various external client projects and in-house initiatives. Niels's expertise extends to significant project involvement in process automation, control optimization, and functional safety across multiple industries and locations. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and a BSc from Avans University of Applied Sciences, as well as HTS Breda, with a focus on Process Engineering and Control & Automation.
