Christianna is a shareholder at the law firm of Winthrop & Weinstine in the Health Law practice, with a particular emphasis on home care businesses, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and senior housing facilities, as well as mental and behavioral health. She represents providers in regulatory compliance and enforcement proceedings, health care licensing board investigations and advises her clients on issues such as state and federal privacy laws, including data breaches; fraud, waste and abuse, anti-kickback and Stark; credentialing, privileging and peer review processes; employment issues; and internal investigations. She deals regularly with the Minnesota Department of Human Services and Department of Health and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). She also represents providers in third party payor contracting, rate negotiations and audits.
