As Associate General Counsel for Accion, Javier is responsible for providing bilingual legal support and advice to teams across the organization on a wide range of legal matters, particularly on issues related to mission-driven impact investing activities. Javier holds a J.D./LL.M. in banking and financial law from Boston University School of Law, with concentrations in financial services transactions and compliance management, an MBA from Boston College, an M.A. in international relations from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, with distinction, from Boston University. He has been admitted to the bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the District of Colombia.
