Phillip Okemwa serves as the Regional Chief Information Security Officer and Data Protection Officer for Eastern Africa at Access Bank Plc since May 2022, while also holding the position of Chief Information Security Officer at Access Bank (Kenya) PLC since July 2021. Prior experience includes working at NCBA Group in Technology & Cyber Security Operations and serving as a Senior Information Security Analyst at Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA Group). Phillip founded Vwatt Systems Group, overseeing finance, strategy, and policy, and worked at Co-operative Bank of Kenya Ltd in multiple roles, including Information Security and ICT Risk Control Officer. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Financial Engineering/Mathematics from the Pan African University Institute, a Bachelor of Science in ICT from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and a Master of Science in Cyber Security & Management from the University of Warwick.
