Sheng Zhang is an accomplished R&D Staff Engineer at Acacia Communications Inc. since July 2019, with prior experience as a Senior Optical System Engineer at SubCom from January 2015 to July 2019, where responsibilities included optical components and optical amplifier design for submarine systems. Previous roles include Sr. Optical Engineer at Lumentum, Sr. Optical Scientist at ChiralPhotonics Inc., and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York. Sheng Zhang earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Quantum Optics from the University of Bradford, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Laser and Optical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Optoelectronics from Zhejiang University.
