Karishma Bhawnani is an experienced chemistry professional with a Master's degree in Molecular and Biological Chemistry from EPFL and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Engineering and Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Current role as a Chemistry Assistant at AC Immune since November 2022 follows a series of research and industry positions, including a Master Thesis Project at ETH Zürich where Karishma studied catalytic aminofunctionalization of olefins. Previous work includes synthesizing iridium complexes at EPFL, performing multi-step organic synthesis at SpiroChem, and developing innovative technology for laser marking at Brady Corporation. Karishma has also contributed to various research projects involving advanced synthesis techniques and has experience as a chemistry tutor.
