Joon Kang is a data engineer currently employed at the Abu Dhabi Investment Council, focusing on equities and active investments since November 2024. Prior to this role, Joon served as a senior analytics engineer at Monzo Bank, where significant contributions were made to the credit risk and lending infrastructure, emphasizing scalability and performance. Joon's career began in financial risk technology as an associate consultant at KPMG UK, followed by a role as assistant manager in analytics and modeling at Deloitte, where credit risk assessment tools were enhanced. Joon holds a Master of Science in Financial Statistics from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc Hons in Economics from the University of Warwick. The foundation of Joon's professional development was built during service as an assistant drill instructor in the Republic of Korea Army.
