Roberto Villalobos has over 20 years of experience in the maritime industry. Roberto has held various roles at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), including Senior Principal Surveyor, District Principal Surveyor, and Principal Surveyor. Roberto has extensive experience in conducting audits and inspections related to ISM/ISPS/MLC regulations. Prior to ABS, they worked as a Ship Repair Manager at Braswell International Shipyard and as a Marine Engineer at ConocoPhillips.

Roberto Villalobos attended the Massachusetts Maritime Academy from 1988 to 1992, where they pursued a degree in Engineering with a focus on Marine Engineering & Marine Transportation. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications through LinkedIn, including Beacon: Change Management for Leaders & Managers, Building Trust, Communicating in Times of Change, Creating a Culture of Change, Effective Listening, and Managing Organizational Change for Managers. Roberto also obtained a certification in Improving Your Judgment in 2020.
