Angus Macrae is a Senior Developer (UI) at abrdn since July 2023, previously serving as a React Engineer at BT from July 2021 to July 2023, where development work on the EE Shop site included migration to a headless architecture using React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Next.js. Prior experience includes Frontend Web Developer at Bluesky Interactive Ltd from January 2021 to June 2021, focusing on bespoke automobile dealership websites and incorporating backend CMSs and third-party services. Angus also worked as a Mechanical Engineer at DCA Design International from November 2016 to July 2019, collaborating in an interdisciplinary team on design processes and utilizing Solidworks and Creo for 3D modeling and analyses. Angus holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham (2013-2016), a UCHE in Astrophysics from The University of Edinburgh (2009-2012), and Advanced Highers in Maths, Physics, and Computing from Dunblane High School (2003-2009).
