Shannon Putney is a seasoned librarian with extensive experience in various roles within library services and education. Currently serving as a Field Training Specialist at Scooter's Coffee since March 2024, Shannon also maintains positions as a book reviewer for both Edelweiss+ by Above the Treeline and NetGalley since February 2019. Previously, Shannon held the position of Library Director at Carter Lake Public Library from April 2022 to March 2024, where responsibilities included managing staff, programming, and budgeting. Other notable roles include Interim Community Center Director at Carter Lake Community Center, Circulation Supervisor at Ralston Baright Public Library, and Assistant Librarian at Aspen Creek Middle School. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Education with a focus on Library Sciences from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has acquired various certifications in library science and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
