Jack Thompson has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Jack began their career as an Engineering Intern at Syska Hennessy Group in 2018. In 2019, they worked as an Undergraduate Aerospace Research Assistant at Rutgers University, where they gained hands-on experience in supersonic wind tunnel research. In 2020, Jack served as a Space Policy Summer Associate at the Institute for Defense Analyses, contributing to the development of a National Research and Development Plan for methods addressing Space Orbital Debris. Additionally, they had a Space Engineering Internship at Saber Astronautics, where they developed orbital mechanics tools for simulation purposes and gained operational experience in space operations. Currently, Jack is working at ABL Space Systems, first as a Trajectory Analyst from September 2021 to May 2023, and then as the Lead Trajectory Analyst starting from May 2023.
Jack Thompson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Rutgers University in 2020, and later went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the same university in 2021.
