Elias Nassar is a distinguished academic professional with extensive experience in electrical, computer, and communications engineering. Since January 1998, Elias has served as a Professor and Chairperson of the Electrical, Computer and Communications Department at Notre Dame University - Louaize. In addition to academic roles, Elias has contributed to ABET as an IDEAL Scholar and Program Evaluator since January 2010, and held a position as Visiting Professor at Texas A&M University from August 2013 to August 2014. Notable leadership within IEEE includes Chairperson roles for the Lebanon Section, Region 8 Student Activities Committee, and the Society Chapter on Antennas and Propagation, Microwave Theory and Techniques, and Magnetics from 2005 to 2013. Elias was also Dean at Notre Dame University from 2006 to 2012 and worked as a Graduate Research Associate at Ohio State University from August 1990 to December 1997. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
