Elena Vigano is a highly experienced scientist with a focus on immunology, molecular pharmacology, and cancer research. Currently, Elena holds the position of Principal Scientist at AbCellera, having progressed from Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist since April 2020. Previously, Elena served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at BC Cancer from January 2016 to April 2020, where the main responsibility involved characterizing somatic missense mutations in the JAK-STAT pathway related to non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Prior to this, Elena contributed to research at A*STAR in Singapore, focusing on primary human immune cells, and began as a PhD student in immunology at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, complemented by earlier degrees in industrial biotechnology and molecular biotechnology from the same institution.
