Mathias Droescher is a Principal Research Scientist at AbbVie since November 2015, focusing on biomarker support for discovery and early-phase clinical programs, particularly in establishing and improving novel biomarker assays. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist II and I, where Mathias advanced ligand binding assay technologies in neuroscience. As a Postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology and Epigenetics from November 2011 to September 2015, Mathias supervised mouse genetics projects and investigated epigenetic mechanisms. Academic credentials include a PhD in Biochemistry from Freie Universität Berlin and a Diplom-Biochemist degree from Leipzig University, alongside research as a Visiting PhD Student at the University of Nottingham.
