Hemant Vekaria is an experienced professional in the field of microbiology and quality operations, currently serving as the Director of Site Quality Operations & CRM Microbiology and Sterilization at Abbott since January 2017. Prior to this role, Hemant held several senior management positions focused on microbiology and sterilization at St. Jude Medical from April 2007 to January 2017, overseeing laboratory operations and ensuring the biocompatibility of medical devices. Hemant's earlier experience includes roles as a Laboratory Technician at the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts and as a Research Associate at the USC Norris Cancer Center. Hemant holds a Master's degree in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from UCLA.
