Els Maes has extensive experience in event organization and marketing within the healthcare sector, currently serving as Associated Manager for Congresses & Meetings at Abbott since July 1997. In this role, Els Maes is responsible for the full organization and coordination of all European events and congresses across various marketing departments. Prior to Abbott, Els Maes worked as a Sales Assistant in Oncology at Pharmacia from 1992 to 1997, providing support to the Oncology/Urology sales team. Els Maes holds a degree from Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven.
