Meheret Ourgessa is a QC Chemist at Abbott Nutrition NL, effective September 2023, responsible for extracting and analyzing vitamins and organic compounds in nutritional products, troubleshooting HPLC equipment, and documenting out-of-specification findings. Prior experience includes significant roles at Kenyon College, such as conducting chemical synthesis and characterization as a member of the Mauck Lab and serving as an Organic Chemistry Laboratory Assistant. Meheret has also been involved in microbiology research, and technology services, and completed a scholarship program at Emory University focused on natural product synthesis. Meheret holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Kenyon College.
