Akash Kumar is an AI Developer at abaut GmbH since July 2023, with a comprehensive background in artificial intelligence and data science. Akash worked on a Master Thesis Project at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI), focusing on real-time sign language translation utilizing human pose estimation and keypoint detection. As a Research Assistant, Akash designed unit tests for the PyTorch-IE framework and conducted few-shot experimentation for multi-modal NER. Previous experience includes optimizing a TensorFlow data pipeline at ITK Engineering, developing data analysis scripts at Universität des Saarlandes, and interning as a Software Engineer at Nysa Communications Pvt. Ltd. Akash holds a Master of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from Universität des Saarlandes and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Software Engineering from SRM IST Chennai.
