Ken Willson began their work experience as a Police Telecommunicator for the City of Stockton in September 2001 and held this role until December 2006. Ken then worked as a Network Assistant for California State University, East Bay from February 2007 to March 2009. Following this, they were a Network Engineer at Peak IP Solutions from March 2009 to March 2010. From April 2010 to November 2013, they served as a Senior Systems Administrator at ncircle. Currently, they are employed at Abacus Group, where they started as a Senior Systems Engineer in December 2013 and was later promoted to Manager of Systems Engineering in January 2017.

Ken Willson attended Saint Mary's High School from 1996 to 2000. Ken then pursued their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Technical Education at San Joaquin Delta College from 2005 to 2007. Afterward, they enrolled at California State University - East Bay, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from 2007 to 2009.
