Ian Hartman-O'Connell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy integration and communications. Currently serving as Senior Director of Policy Integration at AARP since January 2016, Ian has held various leadership roles in the organization, including Director and Senior Policy Liaison. Prior to AARP, Ian worked at Burson-Marsteller as Manager of Consitor Health, where responsibilities included developing crisis communication strategies and public affairs initiatives. Additional experience includes serving as Senior Advisor for Health Policy at the New York City Mayor's Office and Communications Director at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Early career achievements include roles at Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, American Red Cross, and Peace Corps. Ian holds a Master of Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Georgetown University.
