Ton Otto is a Professor Emeritus at Aarhus University, with a career that began in December 1996. In addition, Ton Otto serves as an Adjunct Professor at James Cook University since January 2010, while also holding the title of Professor and Research Leader. From April 2013 to December 2018, Ton Otto was the Head of the Department of Ethnography at Moesgaard Museum, overseeing Ethnographic Collections. Academically, Ton Otto obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cultural Anthropology from The Australian National University between 1985 and 1991, as well as two Master of Arts (MA) degrees in History and Cultural Anthropology from Radboud University, completed from 1979 to 1985. Additionally, Ton Otto holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History and Philosophy from Radboud University.
