Kasun Lakmal Jayasinghe has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Kasun Lakmal started their career as an Intern at Epic Lanka in August 2017 and continued until February 2018. In 2016, Kasun joined IEEE as a member, where they remained until 2017. In 2015, they became a Graduate at the University of Colombo School of Computing, a position they held until 2019. Since then, Kasun has worked at 99x, initially as a Software Engineer from February 2019 to July 2021, and currently as a Senior Software Engineer since July 2021.

Kasun Lakmal Jayasinghe pursued their education in a chronological order. From the year 2000 to 2010, they attended Ananda Sastralaya in Kotte, where they studied primary level subjects. Following this, from 2011 to 2013, Kasun studied Mathematics at Ananda College in Colombo 10. Subsequently, they enrolled in the University of Colombo School of Computing from 2015 to 2019, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.

Alongside their academic qualifications, Kasun also achieved a certification in Microsoft Azure. In May of 2023, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate certification from Microsoft.
