Damitha Perera has a diverse work experience in software engineering and web development. Starting in 2015, Damitha worked at Living Dreams - Software & Web Solutions as an Associate Web Developer, where they developed project plans, maintained websites, and tested and fixed bugs in WordPress sites. They then worked as a Trainee Web Developer, building multiple e-commerce sites with SEO using WordPress and focusing on user-friendly site development.

In 2017, Damitha joined Ellipsis as a Software Engineer, with responsibilities including mentoring junior developers, web development and maintenance, and system analysis, design, and testing of web-based applications. They later became an Associate Software Engineer, continuing web development and maintenance while also addressing issues identified through testing or customer feedback.

In 2020, Damitha joined KeenEye as a Software Engineer Level 3, where they mentored junior developers, identified and corrected problems, and contributed to system analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance of web-based applications. They were later promoted to the role of Senior Software Engineer and were responsible for recommending and implementing improvements in processes and technologies, as well as keeping informed about advancements in Node.js development.

Most recently, in 2022, Damitha began working at 99x as a Senior Software Engineer. Their responsibilities include developing high-quality software design and architecture, executing tasks in the software development life cycle, and producing clean and efficient code for tools and applications.

Damitha Perera completed a Master's degree in Information Technology from SLIIT from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University College Dublin between 2012 and 2016. Damitha also attended Carey College - Colombo 08 until 2011, although it is not indicated if they obtained a degree or field of study from there.

In addition to their academic degrees, Damitha Perera obtained additional certifications. Damitha completed a Certificate Course in Computer Science from the National Institute of Business Management (NIBM - Sri Lanka) in 2012. Damitha also received a Diploma in PC Assembling Networking and User Technical Support from IDM Computer Studies Private Limited in 2009.
