Misha Villatuya is an experienced educator and leader currently serving as an Instructional Coach and Interim Elementary School Director at New School San Francisco since March 2023. Previously, Misha held the position of Lead Teacher at the same institution from July 2019 to June 2022, where significant achievements included developing an interdisciplinary curriculum and establishing academic interventions that resulted in high student performance on assessments. Misha's prior experience also includes serving as Assistant Principal and Humanities Teacher at Rocketship Public Schools from July 2015 to July 2019, where impactful initiatives led to improved student outcomes and a notable decrease in behavioral infractions. Misha began the educational journey as a Teach For America Corps Member from January 2013 to May 2015 after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and later completed a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration at Mills College.
