Alice Lang

Alice Lang has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alice started their career as an Engineering Intern at BP Solar in 2009 and then worked as a Research Engineer at CSG Solar Pty Ltd until 2010. Alice also gained experience in pastoral care and discipline roles as a Residential Advisor and Junior Dean at New College UNSW and Magdalen College The University of Oxford from 2009 to 2014. From 2014 to 2016, Alice worked as an Associate at The Boston Consulting Group, where they focused on strategy and business plans for energy, consumer goods, media, public sector, and social impact projects. Alice then joined AGL Australia in 2016 as the Scenario Planning and Competitive Analysis Manager and later served as the Head of Future Business Strategy and Operations before becoming the Head of Strategy and Design for Future Business and Technology. Currently, Alice is with 5B as the Chief of Staff and Global Head of Corporate Development.

Alice Lang has a diverse education history spanning different fields of study and institutions. Alice began their academic journey at UNSW from 2006 to 2011, where they pursued a double degree in Photovoltaic and Solar Energy, as well as Political Economy. During this time, they furthered their studies by attending INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon from 2008 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Materials Science.

Following their time at UNSW, Alice Lang enrolled at the University of Oxford, from 2011 to 2013, to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Alice continued their studies at the same institution, completing a Master of Science degree in Contemporary Chinese Studies from 2013 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Alice has obtained several certifications to augment their skill set. In December 2016, they completed the "Capstone: Retrieving, Processing, and Visualizing Data with Python" course offered by Coursera and received certification for it. More recently, in December 2020, Alice completed the "Adaptive Leadership for VUCA Challenges" certification program through LinkedIn.
