Jacqui Maroun is currently involved in angel investing as a First Believer with Startmate, a role that includes evaluating, selecting, investing in, and mentoring founders. Since August 2021, Maroun has served as a Founder Experience Specialist at 54 Collective VC, focusing on creating value for both founders and investors. Prior experience includes significant leadership positions at VML South Africa, where responsibilities ranged from Chief Experience Officer to Head of User Experience Design and Strategy, as well as serving as Interaction Design Team Lead at Native and Interaction Designer at Cambrient. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Industrial Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand and a nearly completed Informatics Diploma from the University of South Africa, along with participation in the First Believers Cohort 6 program at Startmate.
