Jan-Joost Spanjers has been working in the software development industry since 1999. Jan-Joost began their career as a Scientific Programmer at Radboud University Nijmegen. In 2010, they became a Freelance Software Developer. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Ruby on Rails Developer at SmartTrackers. Jan-Joost then moved to Forque, where they worked as a Senior Consultant / Developer until 2021. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at 4me and also as a Freelance Ruby on Rails developer at Hiberis ICT.

Jan-Joost Spanjers completed a Master of Science in Physics from Radboud University from 1994 to 1999. Jan-Joost then went on to pursue a field of study in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Open Universiteit from 2007 to 2008.
