Sagar Upadhyay currently serves as a Senior Genome Analyst at 4baseCare since September 2024, following a similar role at MEDGENOME from March 2021 to August 2024. At MEDGENOME, Sagar specialized in the analysis and interpretation of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Sanger sequencing results for patients with leukaemias and lymphomas, utilizing various Illumina sequencing platforms and scientific databases for gene classification and clinical reporting. Sagar has experience in resolving CNVs, validating leukaemia fusion testing, and managing variant databases while supervising junior analysts. Sagar's educational background includes a Master of Science in Medical Genetics and Genomics from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from St. Xavier's College. Prior volunteer experiences include positions at ScienceUtsav and Holy Trinity Church.
