Yang Li has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical engineering. They founded 3Helix, Inc. in 2015 and served as a Founder. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Research Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Utah. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2017, they worked as a Research Associate at the same university. Yang Li also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University from 2013 to 2013 and as a Graduate Student Researcher from 2008 to 2013. In 2012, they had a Strategic Research Internship at Columnex.
Yang Li received their education in the field of chemistry. They attended Nanjing Foreign Language School from 1997 to 2003. They then went on to Nanjing University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from 2003 to 2007. During their undergraduate studies, they also participated in an exchange program at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2005, focusing on Chemistry and Biochemistry. Following their bachelor's degree, they pursued higher education at The Johns Hopkins University, obtaining a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Chemistry from 2007 to 2011. Finally, Yang Li completed their education at The Johns Hopkins University by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from 2007 to 2013.
