Dr. Muhammad Shaheer Waqar has over 22 years of experience in the field of sustainable development. Dr. Muhammad has been involved with SDGs Work In Pakistan since 2019, focusing on the education goal. Additionally, they have held a position as a member of the Pakistan Information Security Association since 2015. In 2018, Dr. Waqar became a member of the core committee of the Pakistan IT Task Force, working on developing IT policies for the country. Dr. Muhammad has also served as the president of the Pakistan and Asia Chapter of IMRTC since 2016, where they introduce new certifications worldwide and provides research opportunities. Dr. Waqar was elected as the honorary president of 3D Group in 2007, where they develop organizational strategies and initiates research projects. Dr. Muhammad is also a consultant and honorary founder member for the Association of Private Training Institutes of Pakistan (APTIP), assisting with curriculum development. Prior to these roles, Dr. Waqar was head of information technology at BIEK, and they have also worked with 3D Educators - Trainers & Consultants, Educational Dean - The Educational Consortium (ILM-UK, Edexcel), and Merit Consultants UK in various leadership and training positions.
Dr. Muhammad Shaheer Waqar has a diverse education history spanning various fields. Dr. Muhammad completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) with Post Doc in Cyber Security at Management and Science University from 2020 to 2022. Prior to this, they obtained a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (Neural Networks) from the University of Colombo, graduating between 2001 and 2004.
Dr. Waqar holds an MBA in Management Information System from an undisclosed institution, earned between 1999 and 2000. Dr. Muhammad also pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied Physics with a specialization in Electronics and Computers at Karachi University from 1996 to 1998. Dr. Muhammad also obtained a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) with a Pre-Engineering specialization from PECHS Foundation College during the 1991-1992 academic year. Before that, they completed their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in Mechanics, Electrical, and Sciences from Government Technical High School between 1989 and 1990.

These include ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager from PECB Canada in March 2019, ITIL V3 Foundation from APM in January 2012, Project Management Professional from PMI in January 2006, Microsoft Partner from Microsoft in March 2005, CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional) from ISC 2 in October 2004, Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in October 2000, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) from Microsoft in January 2000, Web Master from ASP Master in March 1999, Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) from Microsoft in January 1999, A+ Certified from CompTIA in March 1998, ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (Lead Auditor) from PECB North America in January 2018, and ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Lead Auditor from PECB North America in September 2017.
