Kelly Stricklin-Coutinho currently serves as the Chair of the Civil Mediation Council since June 2024 and is a Barrister at 39 Essex Chambers since September 2014. Additionally, Kelly is a member of the faculty at the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution since February 2022 and was a visiting lecturer at King's College London from August 2011 to July 2021, focusing on European Union Tax Law. Previous roles include Solicitor Advocate at PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal, Associate in tax litigation at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, Judicial Assistant to the Court of Appeal, and Stagiaire at the European Commission's DG Taxud. Educational qualifications include a Bar Vocational Course from Inns of Court School of Law, an LLM from the University of Cambridge, and an LLB from the London School of Economics. Kelly has extensive experience in tax law, including various aspects of corporation tax, VAT, and EU law, and has actively participated in EU tax policy groups.
