Caren joined 3545 Consulting as an Associate in 2012. With over 30-years-experience in legal and accounting, she likes to joke that she “was born into the industry,” and truth be told, she really was. As the daughter of an attorney/CPA and a bookkeeper, the eventual path to legal accounting seemed a natural one. After a career at IBM, she created her own bookkeeping service, which grew into a consulting service with a specialty in assisting legal firms.

Her primary role with 3545 is working with clients on billing, accounting and practice management solutions. Caren’s expertise of legal accountancy allows her to assist clients in identifying keys to access, and understanding the numbers that tell them how their business is doing. Her knowledge and comprehension in these areas helps clients run their practices more effectively, and help ensure they are collecting money earned.

While Caren maintains certifications in a number of legal accounting and billing programs, she is the QuickBooks Specialist, and holds advanced certifications in this area. She has a vast knowledge base of not only how QuickBooks works, but more importantly how it doesn’t work for a law firm. Her knowledge in this area, matched with communication skills, allows the 3545 Team to come together and resolve issues for each, individual firm.
